Are you someone with a PTS qualification looking for a rewarding role with excellent pay and benefits?

In this role you will help maintain and repair tracks by removing rubbish, repairing sleepers and rails, and using drills and saws. PTS workers play a critical role in ensuring the safety of construction sites and railway projects and therefore need good hand-eye coordination and physical fitness to do manual jobs safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Removing rubbish from track
• Inspect and repair railway tracks, sleepers, bridges, tunnels, gates, signals, stations and viaducts
• Look out for obstacles, defects or anything that could interfere with the smooth running of the train service
• In bad weather you will have to clear snow from the tracks or fallen trees that are blocking the line.

Requirements:

• PTS
• CSCS Card
• Good level of fitness
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Good problem solving abilities
• An awareness of health and safety procedures
• Flexibility to be able to cover shifts, including weekends

Desirable:

– Any experience as a PTS Labourer would be an advantage but not essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Salary: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
