Definitions

The terms “We” “Our” “Velox Recruitment” or “Agency” means Velox Recruitment Ltd (registered company no 14840010) Second Floor Metroline House 118-122, College Rd, Harrow HA1 1BQ.

“You” means the user of the website, whether registered or unregistered.

“Applicant” means the person Introduced by Velox Recruitment to the Client for an Engagement.

“Client” means the person, firm or corporate body together with any subsidiary or associated person, firm or corporate body (as the case may be) to which the Candidate is introduced

“Engagement” means the engagement, (including the Candidate’s acceptance of the Client’s offer), employment or use of the Candidate by the Client or by any third party to whom the Candidate has been introduced by the Client, on a permanent or temporary basis, whether under a contract of service or for services; under an agency, licence, franchise or partnership agreement; or any other engagement; or through a limited company of which the Candidate is an officer, employee or other representative; and “Engage”, “Engages” and “Engaged” shall be construed accordingly;

“Introduction” means (i) the passing to the Client of a curriculum vitae or information which identifies the Candidate or (ii) the Client’s interview of a Candidate (in person, by telephone or by any other means) following the clients instructions to Velox Recruitment to search for a candidate, and either case, witch leads to the engagement of the candidate and “Introduces” and “Introduced” shall be construed accordingly.

Our Business

Velox Recruitment is a limited company. We supply temporary & permanent workers within the Construction, Information technology, Sales, Admin & HR, Retail, Accounting & Finance, Healthcare and Hospitality sectors. Velox Recruitment is an independent business.

Use of the website

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our website. By using our website, you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

To use certain features of our website, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

Employers may provide information for us to post job openings on our website. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any job postings.

Job applications

Job seekers may apply for job openings posted on our website. Applicants give Velox Recruitment Ltd the right to represent and authorise that we begin to attempt to assign you work for one or other of our clients. This by no means constitutes an employee/employer relationship.

We do not guarantee that any job application will result in an offer of employment and therefore do not guarantee future work assignments with any clients of Velox Recruitment Ltd.

This information will be used strictly for the purpose of assisting in finding a suitable employment opportunity.

Suitability Checks

The Agency endeavours to ensure the suitability of Candidates introduced to the Client to work in the position which the Client seeks to fill by taking reasonably practicable steps to:

  1. Confirm that the candidate is willing to work in the role offered by the client.
  2. Ensure that nothing is detrimental in the interest of either the candidate or client.
  3. Ensure that both the Client and Candidate are aware of any requirements imposed by law or by any professional body.
  4. Obtain all relevant documentation, outlining the candidate’s identification, qualifications and authorisations that the client sees necessary by law or a professional body.

Confidentiality & Data Protection

All the candidate’s information that is provided to the client is confidential and subject to Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).
This information is provided solely for the purpose of providing work-finding services to the Client. Such information shall not be used or divulged to any third parties. The client agrees to abide by DPA and the provisions of GDPR in receiving and the processing of any data provided by the agency.

Third Parties

The introduction of all candidates is strictly private and confidential between client and the agency. If at any time within the period of 12 calendar months the client discloses the candidate’s information to a third party, this shall be deemed as a third party introduction.

Intellectual property

Our website and its contents are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our website without our prior written consent.

Limitation of liability

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any damages of any kind arising from your use of our website, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our website, your violation of these terms and conditions, or your violation of any rights of another.

Notices

All notices which are required to be given in accordance with these terms of service shall be in writing and may be delivered personally or by first class prepaid post to the registered office of the party upon whom the notice is to be served or any other address that the party has notified the other party in writing, by email or facsimile transmission. Any such notice shall be deemed to have been served: if by hand when delivered, if by first class post 48 hours following posting and if by email or facsimile transmission, when that email or facsimile is sent.

If any of the provisions of these Terms shall be determined by any competent authority to be unenforceable to any extent, such provisions shall, to that extent, be severed from the remaining terms, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws.

No third party is intended to have any rights under or in connection with these Terms.

Government & Jurisdictions

These Terms are governed by the law of England & Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales.

Changes to the terms and conditions

We may revise these terms and conditions at any time without notice. By using our website, you agree to be bound by the current version of these terms and conditions.
